Luxury with an Indian touch is what we felt when we first visited their Mumbai property. Unlike many modern hotels, The Leela Mumbai has retained its Indian roots. Something we appreciate in any place we stay; to get a flavour of the culture. Right from the lobby it won us over. The Leela Mumbai is a hotel without being a hotel. It feels like a resort. Live musicians playing Indian classical instruments welcome you into another world away from Mumbai’s busy, noisy roads.
The rooms start at 25 sq mt. They have city and pool view rooms, royal club suites, and an exclusive category of suites which have their own butler! The biggest advantage if you ask us is that is conveniently located near the airport. Which means that you can have all of the amenities and the lavishness, without the commute. I mean who wants to sit in a cab and drive for 3 hours to reach the hotel! Instead you can spend that time relaxing in the pool or going for a spa.
You will never run out of food options at The Leela. They have it all: Citrus for all-day dining, Jamavar which is their signature Indian restaurant, Le Cirque Signature for fine-dining which serves Franco-Italian cuisine, The Great Wall for Chinese and Six Degrees which is a cosmopolitan bar.

A sneak peak into the BookDirect and #getmore Draw Event
We were invited by The Leela to attend their first sweepstake. The experience was one that we would not have imagined. It was not just a lucky draw but an event with drinks, high tea and games. If you know us, you will know that we are huge game nerds and absolutely cannot resist any kind of games!
Our favourite game was the monkey. Put a chocolate in the monkey’s paw and have it catapulted into the cups behind him. Other than this we also loved the letter building game and Jenga. All the games kept the guests thoroughly entertained. The winners of the games were given tokens and the person who collected the most tokens won a bonus prize.
As you can guess, the high tea was amazing as well. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Gourmet bite-sized treats with wine, can we really complain?
At the end of the evening, the winners of the sweepstakes were picked using a computer-aided draw. These were the first sweepstakes and the prizes get bigger for each one.
